Frequently asked questions

Straight answers, before you even ask.

Browse the questions customers ask us most. If yours isn't here, get in touch — we'd be delighted to answer it.

It’s hard to estimate the cost before we diagnose the fault — prices vary depending on the repair needed and the location we call out to. We’re happy to give you a free quote, over the phone in most cases: call 087 737 9265.

We will always try our very best to get your machine back up and running. Sometimes, unfortunately, it can’t be helped — if it’s too old or parts are no longer available, we’ll tell you honestly and recommend a replacement mobility product instead.

Yes. Every new part replaced during a repair carries a full 1-year guarantee; used or reconditioned parts, where applicable, carry 6 months.

Yes — we offer our mobility repair services throughout Ireland: all 26 counties, covering every town. Callouts are same or next day where possible.

We aim to respond to all online service and repair requests within 24 hours, Monday to Friday. Phones are answered 7 days a week.

All leading brands — every make and model of mobility scooter, electric wheelchair and stairlift. If in doubt, just ask.

Prices vary depending on the size of batteries your mobility scooter or electric wheelchair takes, and distance from our base. Contact us for a free quote or call 087 737 9265.

No — a mobility scooter or electric wheelchair battery replacement takes no longer than 30–45 minutes from start to finish.

Yes, there’s a 1-year guarantee on all replacement mobility batteries. Batteries should last 2–3 years, and if they fail within the first year we’ll replace them free of charge. (Terms apply in relation to misuse or not following the manufacturer’s guidelines.)

Generally 2–3 years — sometimes longer if you really look after them. When we fit new batteries we’ll walk you through the best practices to get the most life out of them.

We offer both budget and premium options, and use the highest-quality batteries we can source — locally from Irish suppliers where possible. We never fit “cheap” batteries; a quick-fix solution isn’t a fix at all.

Mobility scooters and electric wheelchairs should generally be serviced every 12 months by a competent engineer. If your product is new, check with the supplier first — servicing may be required through them as part of your guarantee.

We go through everything in detail: all nuts, bolts and screws on shrouds, seats, chassis and brackets; a full-cycle battery load test; wiring, switches and safety sensors; motors, brakes, tyres and controls — finished with a quick valet-style clean to freshen your machine up.

Usually up to an hour, whatever the device — scooter, powerchair or stairlift — carried out at your home.

Prices vary depending on the type of mobility product and distance from our base — contact us for a quote or call 087 737 9265.

We test your batteries as part of every service. If they need replacing, we’ll provide new ones at a discounted rate off our standard battery replacement price.

We’ll advise you of your options before doing anything. That’s one of the main reasons to get a service — catching underlying or unnoticed problems before they worsen over time.

Nine times out of ten that’s a battery issue — quick to confirm and quick to fix. One recent callout like this was back up and running within the hour, for a fraction of the cost of a new lift.

Generally same day for local repairs and next day for customers further away. We’re extremely successful at getting stairlifts back working within an hour of arriving.

Yes. Meditek closed down in early 2018, but we’ve worked on many of their lifts and still have access to parts with a fast turnaround.

Both — and all major brands. There are many stairlift makes on the market, and most likely we’ve already repaired the model you own.

Give us a go before you buy a new one! We’ve proved plenty of people wrong — and if we genuinely can’t save it, we’ll tell you straight.

An annual stairlift service takes about an hour — and standard-type batteries (fitted to 90% of lifts) are replaced at no extra cost during the service.
